Predicting the sound insulation of an engineering system is a complex problem since not only direct path through separating element but also flanking transmission paths can largely influence system. When conventionally analyzing transmission, diffuse field assumed in walls and floors, which are modelled as plates. The junction connecting floors to be infinite extent vibration across calculated by integrating over all possible angles incidence. Due limitations conventional approach, new approach based on reciprocity proposed. relationship relates subsystem dynamic stiffness subsystem, i.e., equivalent observed at junction. matrices thin, isotropic, elastic plates analytically derived.
